I would like to join all the member of FAPRA in celebrating the launch of the FAPRA Web site (fapra.com).

I would also like to extend my deepest appreciation for the exceptional effort put forth by the Secretary General Cao of the FAPRA permanent secretariat as well as everyone at the secretariat.

  
 
The purpose of FAPRA is to discuss shared issues in the Asia and Oceania region, collaboratively explore solutions, develop the retail industry in member nations and regions to an even higher level and strengthen friendly relations.

To this end, establishing a permanent secretariat for promoting information exchange and providing a forum for continuous discussion was long on FAPRA members' wish list.

The FAPRA Web site is being launched to serve as the hub of the secretariat's activities, and also as a place of exchange open to all members. At the same time, the official site

of the 13th Asia-Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition (October 2007 in Tokyo) will be launched (aprce.com)

For the sake of FAPRA's development and for the success of the APRCE, I hope that all members will actively participate in and use the FAPRA Web site.

In closing, I would like to extend to all member nations and regions as well as the secretariat a heartfelt appeal for your cooperation in this undertaking.
