Preparation for 13th APRCE in Full Swing in JRA

The 13th APRCE will take place in Tokyo, Japan in September 2007. The event will be a grand gala for retailers in Asia-Pacific Region. Though still 15 months ahead, preparation for the event is in full swing in Japan Retailers Association, the host of the event.

JRA has chosen a logo and a slogan for the 13th APRCE. The two figures in the logo symbolize the close contacts and communications among people. The simple geometric forms like the two circles and squares symbolize the connection between consumers and retailers. Red represents the changing needs and enthusiasm of consumers and is also a traditional color of Japan, while green represents the safety and environmentally-harmlessness of commodities and also reflects the commitment and liability that retail business is expected to demonstrate.
Advanced and Balanced is the slogan of the 13th APRCE. ¡°Advanced¡± represents the innovation capabilities of Asia-Pacific countries in the drastically-changing environment, and ¡°Balanced¡± represents our desires for more information sharing and greater development.

15th Philippine National Retailers Conference and Stores Asia Expo

The Stores Asia Expo 2006, a twin event of the National Retailers Conference 2006 (August 10-11), is organized by the Philippine Retailers Association. 2006 China Retailers Convention & China International Retail Trade Expo/15th Shanghai National Commodity Fair

The co-occurring event shall be jointly organized by China General Chamber of Commerce and Shanghai Municipal Government in Shanghai Exhibition Center during Sept. 22-24, 2006. the 2006 China Retailers Convention & China International Retail Trade Expo (CRCE) and 15th Shanghai National Commodity Fair are the first high-level and grand-scale international pageant for retail industry in China.

President and delegates of EuroCommerce met officials from Hong Kong Retail Management Association¡¡(December 14, 2005)

On December 14, 2005, Dr. Peter Bernert, President of EuroCommerce, Mr. Ralph Kamphoner, Senior Advisor of EuroCommerce, Dr. Pisec and Dr. Kandelhart, Board Members of EuroCommerce, who were in Hong Kong for the WTO ministerial meeting, met officials from Hong Kong Retail Management Association: Mr. Bankee Kwan, Chairman of HKRMA, Ms Shirley Chan, Vice-Chairman of HKRMA, Mr. Yu Pang Chun, Honorary Advisor & Immediate Past Chairman of HKRMA, Mr. Philip Ma, Past Chairman of HKRMA and Miss Anita Bagaman, Executive Director of HKRMA. Professor Xiaoning Cao from FARA Permanent Secretariat (Preparatory) was also present.
 

President and delegates of EuroCommerce met officials from China General Chamber of Commerce and representatives from Tongluowang Group¡¡(December 16, 2005)

In the afternoon of December 16, 2005, Dr. Peter Bernert, President of EuroCommerce and his delegates went to Shenzhen City, PRC and met Mr. He Jihai, Chairman of China General Chamber of Commerce. The parties had very a fruitful talk. After the meeting, the delegation visited the renowned Tongluowang Group. Though in Shenzhen for only several hours, the delegates were deeply impressed by what they had seen and heard during the tour.
